Tribal Area Inclusive Growth Infrastructure Project (TAIG) is a major collaborative initiative taken up by MDS to create a comprehensive infrastructure in the newly created and existing Tribal Development (TD) Blocks in the hill districts of the state with an objective to bring about an inclusive growth in the tribal areas of the state.

Main focus of the Tribal Area Inclusive Growth (TAIG) Project is to deliver benefits of governance, ensure financial inclusion by providing banking facilities, to instill a sense of security to the people living in all 27 (twenty seven) TD blocks where such facilities were a distant dream.

Under the TAIG project, adequate infrastructure for Block Administrations, banking facilities and full security planned in a composite manner are being created under the executive leadership of MDS. The project includes construction of BDO office, quarters for BDO and staff, bank buildings, quarters for Bank Managers and staff, Police outposts, Quarters and barracks for security personnel and other essential components such as Compound fencing, Sentry post and lighting etc.

This Project aims to be a major growth engine by creating the TD Blocks as a hub for carrying out government activities for delivering services, security and economic activities to the doorsteps of the people living in the hill districts of Manipur.
